T.L. Champion & Barbara Oney, Got*City GAME! Cleveland (www.gotcitygame.tv) is an “Amazing Race” style webTV program that will showcase Northeast Ohio as a great place to work and live. Awarded a grant from the Cleveland Foundation’s Civic Innovation Lab and partnering with Cleveland Magazine, the Youngstown Business Incubator, CoolCleveland, Tri-C, Hiram College, NACS, Cleveland ConneXion, and others, this is a truly regional effort that is designed to cast a very positive light on the region; with the game starting in Cleveland this year, followed by Akron and Youngstown next year. Got*City GAME! is webcast on a web-media network and is the anchor program of many future community programs that will connect, educate and inform college-aged individuals and young professionals about the employment and educational resources in Northeast Ohio. T.L. and Barbara came up with the idea for Got*City GAME! over a number of cups of coffee at Starbucks. They were tired of hearing about all the bad things happening in this region and wanted to focus on all of the positive news. Between our network of colleges and universities, civic organizations and thriving businesses, there are countless reasons to be proud of Northeast Ohio.
