Super Power: Seeming to be in multiple places at the same time

This is the one-person HR department, and while this person may work under the title “Human Resources”, he or she often carries a different title: Office Manager, Administrative Assistant, Staff Accountant, Finance Director, Business Owner, to name just a few! Sometimes HR is their passion. Sometimes it’s just something they have to do because nobody else can (or will). Whatever the reason for their role, these people do some truly amazing things on a daily basis. 

In the blink of an eye they can meet payroll, recruit for an open position, update the employee handbook, answer benefits questions, deal with a discipline issue, balance the books, and create a new employee wellness program. You’d swear they were in two places at once. It’s like they’re like the glue that holds everything together and the oil that makes everything run smoothly – all at the same time. They are rarely thanked and often overlooked. We think they’re incredible.
